How Email Marketing Can Actually Grow Your Business

5 minute read

There are customers and clients who are waiting to buy your products and services.  When  they are consistently engaged in what you have to offer, they will buy from you.

Now, many people have websites and blogs.

And while they are an excellent way to display expertise and for people to find your services…

They are not the number one way to build a rapport with potential customers and clients.  If you want to build rapport, communicate with them on a deeper level, and turn them into eager buyers…

Email marketing is the way to go.

Before email marketing, marketers would print mail promotional flyers, and advertisements.  I can recall when I ran a perfume business from ages 17-20…

And I would host events.

The way I would invite people to the event was by:

·      Word of mouth

·      Mailing flyers

·      Hanging flyers

The events were fun, but boy were they stressful…

Because after sending out several flyers to various mailing locations, I had to call everyone and make sure they received it.  A lot of money was also spent on printing and event decorations.

But with email marketing there are various ways to gain trust of your email subscribers, promote your business, and get more bang for your buck with less stress.

Establish Yourself as An Authority

Whether you’re a small business or a large business you can start building credibility through the usage of email marketing.  Many companies all over the world that have established credibility, obtained it through sending out emails on a weekly or daily basis.

This is an opportunity for your potential clients and customers to become educated on the services you provide and how you can help them.  Typically, when people sign up for your email list, they are interested in what your business has to offer.

And every business solves a problem.

For example, if your car needs an oil change you will take it to a Modern Tire, Jiffy Lube, or some auto maintenance place.

What is the problem?  The car needs an oil change.

How can they solve the problem?  Change the motor oil.

When you send out an email, you want to broadcast your knowledge on a problem that your subscribers are looking to have solved.

This builds trust and credibility.

Engaging With Your Audience

When you are sending your emails you want to personalize them and not make them sound robotic.  A conversational email format will engage potential customers and clients.

Now, you may be thinking, “I’m sending this email out to multiple people. Why on earth would I personalize it?”

Well, people like to feel special, seen, heard, and understood.  When you create a mass email that caters to everyone, they are more likely to disregard your email.

Because the psychology behind it can potentially trigger an individual to think that they don’t matter…

And that you might be a robot.

Have you ever seen someone in the grocery store that you haven’t seen in a while?

If you love to chat, you may say, “Hey, I haven’t seen you in a while.  How’s life?”

You instantly have their attention because you’re talking directly to them.

Now, imagine if you greeted that same person with, “Hey everyone, I haven’t seen all of you in a while?”

They’re going to look at you as if you have three heads.

And they may ask you if you’re okay.

The same principle needs to be applied to email so people don’t unsubscribe.

Make them feel like they are having a one-on-one conversation with you…

So, they know they are talking to a person and someone who empathizes with them.

This way you can begin to gain loyal customers and clients.

ROI

Your subscribers were already interested in your business when they signed up.

Interest can easily turn a subscriber into a buyer…

Because they are curious about what you’re selling.

And the good news about email marketing is you can promote your services at very little cost, while getting a bigger return on that investment.

Statistically speaking, email generates $42 for every $1 spent.  That also means $42,000 for every $1000 spent.  Can you say, “Incredible!!!”

About 99% of people are checking their email daily…

And professional marketers have found a 760% increase in revenue from building email lists and utilizing email campaigns.

Many businesses spend thousands of dollars on websites and ads, which are also crucial to business, but email marketing is a much cheaper option - especially if you’re starting a new business.

If you are wanting to share your services while attracting loyal customers and clients, then you can start to build your email list.

There are a variety of email marketing services, such as:

  • MailChimp

  • Kartra

  • AWeber

You can create an opt-in form that piques the interest of the type of client you want to attract.  Once they sign up you can engage with your audience and gradually skyrocket your business to success by turning them into buyers.

Give these tips a try and see how they can help grow your business.
