The Importance of Nurture Emails

4 minute read

Ignoring a baby's needs and wants is neglect. When a baby is neglected, sometimes it is taken away from its awful parent. Well, in business, think of your clients as babies. When people sign up for your email, courses, products, and services, they want to know that you care.

When they see you don't, they get taken away by other businesses that do. This isn't what you want, but there is a reason this happens. Thankfully, nurture email marketing is the tool you can add to your business to save the day.

But you must build that email list first.

Building Your Email List

Holistic health and beauty niches can benefit from having an email list. This way, you can showcase your credibility and boost your authority. Many reputable businesses have increased their sales with email. Email is also a way to engage your ideal audience. Building it out is the building block for success.

But first, you need people to trust you enough to sign up.  While this may sound like a daunting task when you're first getting started, there are various ways to do this.

You can:

  • Create a free e-book or guide

  • Network and exchange contact info

  • Run ads to gain emails

  • Reach out to your close friends and family

  • Word of mouth

Choose whichever you feel comfortable with and send out emails that grab the reader's attention.  You want to display your knowledge about what you do and what you sell.

Nurture Email Marketing

So, your client bought some veggies from your organic farm or some vitamins from your health store.  Now, what?  The business relationship can either end there or continue.

If you want it to continue, you need to implement nurture email marketing. You can achieve this by having regular contact with your clients or email subscribers. Communicating with them in a personal way and sharing helpful content allows them to connect with you.

Use this opportunity to answer any questions or solve any problems they may have. It's all about their needs, not about getting them to buy. Now, if they decide to work with you, that's great!

However, the goal is for them to feel supported so you can create a trustworthy bond.  If you're a health or fitness coach, you can benefit from having a social group.  Usually, businesses that want to build a community where people feel seen, heard, and loved have Facebook groups.

You can have an email sequence that shares regular updates about the group or create emails based on that group's content.  Why do your subscribers need regular emails?  People's minds change often, so maybe your offer didn't grab their attention yesterday.

But it may be the next.

Also, one email isn't going to pique their interest or help them.  People are constantly looking for products or solutions.  Your email can put their mind at ease and offer those.

Another example of a nurture email sequence is for existing clients.  Have you ever had a holistic health or beauty client who signed up for your course or program years ago?  Did you wonder where they went?  Not emailing clients or getting their contact information is common for many businesses, and why they lose clients.

Spinning your wheels and starting from scratch to get clients is no fun.

So, getting their contact information and keeping in touch is critical. Then, you can create an email sequence for that course or program to keep them on track. Let's face it: It's easy to fall off the wagon if you're trying to eat healthy or not be consistent with your skincare routine.

You can share tips and tricks on how to do this without the stress and overwhelm.

And even offer an upsell that will take them to the next level on their holistic journey.

When you offer a nurture email sequence, the possibilities are endless, which amounts to unlimited clients. If you understand what they are looking for, they will open and read your emails. They will be interested in what you offer because it's relatable to them.
